Karen Ann Ames, 83, of Buffalo, MO departed this life on October 16, 2025. She was born on September 17, 1942 in Shenandoah, Iowa, to the late James and Madge Carl. Karen was united in marriage to Timothy P. Healey in Puerto Rico in August of 1964. To this union two children were born, Thomas Healey and Kelly Healey. She was baptized in 1980 and served as a Sunday School teacher as well as working with the youth and playing the organ in church. She maintained her strong faith, even when her health did not allow her to attend church. Karen was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her grandchildren have fond memories of her driving them to their different activities in her pickup truck. She was always very supportive of her family and tried to be at any events they were involved in. Her grandchildren were one of the greatest joys of her life. She was a wonderful friend who considered her friends to be family. Karen worked at Wal-Mart in Buffalo for 21 years until she retired on November 4, 2011. She enjoyed her time working for Wal-Mart and maintained many friendships made during that time. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Madge Carl, two sisters, Margaret Carl and Rita Brock, her husband, Timothy P. Healy, her son, Thomas Healey, and five angel babies in heaven. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Healey, her grandchildren, Robin Healey (Liam), Kaylene Davidson (Dakota), Kimmie Clemmer, Sharley Ragsdale (Steven), Colton Ragsdale, Trenton Green, Kinlee Butts, and her great-grandchildren, Karly, Brookie, Zachary, Eliana, Enjolie, Harper, and Henry. She is also survived by many friends who considered her family and will miss her tremendously. There will be a celebration of life ceremony at Cantlon-Otterness-Viets in Buffalo on November 20 at 10:00 a.m.
