Karen A. Garrett Bash, 78 of Norwich, formerly of Chandlersville, passed away peacefully at the Beckett House on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Karen was born on August 2, 1947, in Zanesville. She is the daughter of the late Glenn Williams and Irene (Mitchell) Kuntz. Karen was a gifted seamstress whose talent shone through in the quilts, wedding gowns, and Western-style shirts she lovingly created. She shared her passion for sewing through her involvement in numerous sewing clubs and inspired many as a 4-H Advisor and longtime member of the Ohio Horseman's Council for more than twenty years. Karen's love for horses was evident in the care she gave them, but above all, her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Karen is survived by her husband, John V. Bash, whom she married on August 4, 2007; her children, Kim Burkett, David (Penny Robinson) Garrett, Jodie (Jerry) Swingle, John (Heather Ansel) Garrett, Donald Garrett; her step-children, Jason (Sheri) Bash, and Jennifer Bash; her grandchildren, BJ Burkett, Ashley (Dakota Dronebarger) Burkett, Kristen Robinson, Darci (Donny) Robinson-Purkey, Hillary (Tyler) Whitman, Zach (Darby Lynch) Swingle, Jake Swingle, Laken (Zack) Vargo, JT (Brooklyn) Garrett, Kaylee Ansel and Jamey Ansel; her great-grandchildren, Levi Lanier, Tucker Rossiter, Emilia Jo Dronebarger, Raider Whitman, Boone Whitman, Wilder Whitman, Lincoln Swingle, Layton Swingle, Bronson Garverick, Vaya Vargo, Warren Vargo, Makenna Bo Ansel, Luke Ansel, Abi Bash, Sophia Bash, and Haley Bash; her siblings, Gary Williams, and beloved sister, Karista (Jody) Jasper; as well as many friends.

In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her first husband, John Garrett, who passed away on May 24, 1995; her brother, Keith Williams; as well as her granddaughter, Linsey Grace Garrett.
