loved my Auntie Karen so much! Where do I begin? When I think back to all of the memories I have of her. Several
memories flash in my head. The time I got stung by a jelly fish in Hawaii, the red potatoes she always called potatoes in their jackets, her love for animals, when she lived with us for a time and was my bunk buddy on my trundle bed, when she took me to ride on her horse rawhide, and taught me all about how to take care and ride him, all the times we went shopping. She loved shopping, especially when it was a bargain! Now that's the only shopping I do. The time we went on the Atkins diet and just ate giant steaks, or the time I lived with her in North Carolina and got a job at the waffle House. To learn the menu, she helped me make flashcards. I could go on and on with fun and truly special memories that I will always hold in my heart. She will be very much missed. I love you auntie Karen.
Love, Becky

The staff and doctors at Leland Veterinary Hospital worked with Karen for many years. She was a great animal lover and advocate for patient care. She will be greatly missed by all of us.

Karen and I were friends through the dogs. She actually lived with me for a few months after moving to NC, while looking for her place in Leland. I will always remember her as a fellow hound lover!

Karen was an amazing foster to so many cats and dogs. She cared for and saved so many precious animals and opened her home to them so unselfishly. Such a loving and sweet lady.

Photo is Thanksgiving 2019. What a lovely human being our world has lost. Was glad to be able to be your Adopt an Angel "date". Am finally using the wallet I got there. Makes me think of you.
