Karen Ann Neveau, 82, of Green Bay, WI, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. Karen was born on July 22, 1941, in Manitowoc, WI, to the late Gustave and Edith (Hansen) Ceaglske. She attended Manitowoc Lincoln High School, graduating in 1959. She went on to study psychology/sociology at the Ealing Technical School in London and at the U. of WI Manitowoc extension. She later earned a Medical Assistant certificate from the American Academy of Medical/Dental Assistance of Milwaukee in 1962.
Karen met her second husband, Daniel Paul Neveau of Green Bay in 1982 and they later married that October on Washington Island. Together they raised her daughter and two sons, Cathryn, Robert and Curt, and Daniel's son, Kurtis. Family was Karen's highest value, and she and Dan were/are grateful for the many happy memories and stories that followed over the years from their combined family.
Karen worked for a variety of employers over the years. She was a pediatric doctor's assistant and then a head bookkeeper for Winn Dixie Stores, both in Florida. After returning to Green Bay, she worked for Employers Group Insurance, Coldwell Banker Realty, and then 18 years for St. Vincent's Hospital in the laboratory and radiology, retiring in 2004.
Karen's fondest life experience, before raising a family, was living overseas for 10 months in London, going to school, and working as a nanny. Karen was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Green Bay and enjoyed serving on the church council for 10 years, singing in the choir, altar guild and numerous other committees and activities.
Karen is survived by her husband of 41 years, Daniel; her three children, Cathryn Kriescher of Green Bay, Robert T Klinkner (Jill) of Chicago, and Curt Klinkner (Gwen) of Sun Prairie. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Amy Neveau of Green Bay; six grandchildren, Carley, Mikayla, Adam, Tyler, Greg and Grant; one great-grandchild, Teagan; and her niece and nephew, Steven and Susan.
She is preceded in death by her brother David, parents-in-law, Paul and Ethel Neveau, her son, Kurtis Neveau, and brother-in-law Dick Neveau.
Visitation will take place at 10:00am, followed by a service at 10:30am, on Saturday, May 4 at Atonement Lutheran Church, 2132 Deckner Ave, Green Bay.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff at Unity Hospice in De Pere, WI. The remarkable care they provided to Karen and family gave comfort during a difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please celebrate Karen's life by donating to the church she loved dearly, Atonement Lutheran.

May 1, 2024

We are deeply saddened by Karen´s passing, and will always have her smile and laugh, her soft-spoken voice, her dry wit, her heart of gold, her honesty, and her friendship to remember. We will be out of town until May 6, so we will not be able to attend Karen´s funeral. May God rest her soul in His eternal kingdom. Love, Kim and Randy Reeves.
