Alice May Neveau, 85 of Perry, passed away at her farm on Friday, October 28, 2022 after a hard fought battle with dementia. A funeral service to honor her life will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 1:00pm at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Perry Chapel, burial will follow in Oak Plains Cemetery. The Neveau family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
Alice was born on July 24, 1937 in Lyons, Michigan the second child of the late Henry and Estella (Pung) Tannery. Alice married Robert James Neveau at the age of 17 on February 19, 1955 and they spent 59 years together before Robert passed on November 3, 2014.
Alice was an outspoken woman, she stood for what she believed in and made sure that her voice was heard. Alice spent her life as a teachers aide at the Willow Street School in Lansing. She loved traveling the United States with her family; they started with a small Nimrod camper and moved up to a motorhome as the family grew. She and Robert loved taking their children on camping trips and showing them all the world had to offer. After the kids had families of their own, she and Robert got a pickup style camper and traveled by themselves and liked going up north salmon fishing; they especially liked trips to Mississippi, Arizona, and any town or cruise line with a casino or a bingo hall. Alice had a great love for her farm and her miniature horses. She spent many years raising, showing, and driving horses around the state.
Alice is survived by her children; Robert (Rhonda) Neveau, Susan Neveau, Gary (Jackie) Neveau and Timothy Neveau; grandchildren; Ryan, Derek, Justin, Josh, Jordin, Alicia and Nick; great grandchildren, Hanna, Andrew, Bryce, Lindsay, Jordyn, MaKenna, Rauson, Lowynne, Emmett, and Isabella. Also her siblings, John (MaryLou) Tannery, Patricia Green, and Ann Wooten.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, her daughter, Pamela, her great-grandson, Elijah, and her siblings, Laura Sphon, and David Fedewa.
Monetary donations can be directed to the Hospice House of Shiawassee County, 2005 Copas Rd. Owosso.

I met Alice and Bob when they came to my farm to look at miniature horses. It was an instant friendship. We had so much fun showing our horses together. Alice was daring and learned and excelled driving her stallion. She had a competitive nature to her and would strive to beat certain horses at every show.
She was always up for a good time and we created many fun memories at our many horse shows. At our club meetings, she would make sure her opinions were heard but would always be one of the first to volunteer for any job that was needed.

As time went on and horse activities slowed and disappeared, we didn´t see each other. But, I will always remember my friend, Alice Neveau and her best friend, Bob Neveau. May they both, once again, be driving around in their old motor home in Heaven this time.
