Karen Kegley Vaughn, age 65, of Pace, Florida died at home of natural causes on November 10, 2025.
She was born in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1960 to Benjamin H. Kegley and Shirley W. Kegley.
Karen was known for her witty personality, strong will and love for her family.
Karen graduated from Choctaw High School and University of West Florida and went on to work for Hardee's and Whataburger as a general manager and then spent the last decade working as traffic clerk at Santa Rosa County Clerk of Courts.
Karen enjoyed spending time with her husband camping and fishing. She truly enjoyed their annual camping trips.
She loved spending time with her daughters, doing what they do best, shopping. She was so proud of all of her grandchildren and she enjoyed watching them grow up.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Shirley Kegley, her sister, Nancy Schuermer, and her brother, Keith Kegley.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Rodney "Speedy" Vaughn, her daughters, Mallory Rogers (Josh) and McKenzie Nicholas (Kyle), and her five grandchildren, Grace Rogers, Georgia Rogers, Graham Rogers, Benny Nicholas, and Jack Nicholas. She is also survived by her oldest brother, Michael Kegley.
A Funeral Service will be held at Lewis Funeral Home 4777 West Spencer Field Road Pace, Florida 32570 on Friday, November 14, 2025 with Visitation from 11:00am- 12:00 pm, and service at 12:00 pm.
A Graveside service will be held at Crabtree Church Cemetery in Molino, Florida following the Funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Heart Association in Karen's honor.
