Karen Lucille Wilcoxson of Milford, passed away on September 29, 2024. She was 81 years old.
Karen met her husband, Jessie, at church, and they married on December 5, 1960, enjoying 49 wonderful years together. A dedicated member of the Red Hat Society, Karen cherished her friendships and loved spending time with her beloved sisters and her friends, whether over lunch or shopping excursions.
For many years, she served as the dietary director at Milford Park Place, where she touched the lives of many with her warm spirit and culinary talents. Hosting gatherings and holidays at her home brought her immense joy, and she created countless memories for her family and friends.
Most importantly, Karen adored her family. She was especially happy when surrounded by her grandchildren, who lovingly called her "Grandma," and her great-grandchildren, who named her "GiGi." Her love for them was boundless, and her legacy will live on in their hearts. Karen's warmth, kindness, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Karen is survived by her children, Curtis (Connie) Wilcoxson, Janice Hall, Melissa (John) Plumley, and Tina Hargrave; sister, Judi Carl; brother, Raymond Willis; 9 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren, as well as many extended family and dear friends.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Jessie Wilcoxson; son, Brian Wilcoxson; parents, Raymond and Viola; sisters, Marlene Walls and Yvonne Ellett; and brother, Ronald Willis.
Visitation will be held on October 4, 2024 from 3-8PM at Lynch and Sons Funeral Home, 404 East Liberty Street, Milford, Michigan, 48381
A Funeral service will be held on October 5, 2024 at 12PM at Lynch and Sons Funeral Home, 404 East Liberty Street, Milford, Michigan, 48381. Guests are encouraged to gather starting at 11AM. Pastor John Plumley officiating.
Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Milford Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the Wilcoxson family.
