Kathleen was born in Walhalla and grew up in the rural Enderlin and Sheldon area. She received her education in Chaffee, graduating from high school in 1975, marking the beginning of a life rich with love and devotion.
On June 12, 1981, Kathleen entered into marriage with Steve Fleischfresser, and together they built a life on the farm near Enderlin. Much of Kathleen's life was spent working on the farm. Kathleen found joy in the daily tasks of farm life, particularly nurturing and caring for the calves. Alongside Steve, she raised two remarkable sons, Gerald and Jacob.
Those who knew Kathleen understood the importance of allowing her to savor her morning coffee before engaging in conversation. Once strengthened by that, she was ready to tackle anything the day brought!
For 15 years, Kathleen shared her faith as a teacher at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sheldon through CCD classes. In her spare time, she had many leisure activities which she found pleasure: reading, camping, tending to her flower garden, cooking and baking. Above all, Kathleen treasured moments spent with her family and her grandchildren.
Surviving Kathleen is her husband, Steve, sons Gerald (Mindy) of Enderlin, ND, and Jacob (Falynn) of Lynchburg, ND, her grandchildren Noah, Grace and Weston, along with her sister Linda Shea of Dilworth, MN.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents Maryjane and Gerald Shea and Uncle Roger Shea.
Kathleen's legacy of love, warmth and dedication will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Visitation: Friday, May 3, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a Prayer service at 7:00 PM all at West Funeral Home, Casselton, ND.
Service: Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Enderlin, ND with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial: Saturday, May 4, 2024 around 3:45 PM at St. John Cemetery, rural Embden, ND.
