Kathleen Sontheimer Obituary
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Robert Sontheimer Jr., Her two daughters Wendy Swaney (Jim), Anna Haughney (Rick), two sons Robert Sontheimer III, and Adam Sontheimer (Ashleigh), 8 grandchildren Jeremy, Robbie IV, Cheyenne, Ethan, Alex, Seth, Ashton and Avery. She is also survived by her sister Janet Thompson.
For 35 years she enjoyed skiing and family ski trips. She attended over 200 music concerts and had an extreme love and passion for quilting and sewing.
She was co-owner / operator of Sontheimer's Country Bakery, for over 40 years with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She loved talking to customers and since her illness had missed that time terribly.
Her greatest love was as a mother and grandmother. Photo albums, picnics, parties, weddings, etc. She was always on the front lines. She will always be so sadly missed by all. We dearly love you...
Kathy wanted to thank all her friends and family for her many cards, flowers and gifts...So so many to mention. You know who you are and thank you so much for your love, support and caring.
Services will be private. Arrangements were handled by the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506.

PRAYING FIR THE FAMILY AS A YOUNG GIRL GROWING UP WHEN THE WAS ON THE CORNER OF CHERRY STREET OVER THERE BY CENTRAL I BELIEVE EVERY SUNDAY WE WOULD WALK TO SONDHEIMER'S AND GET A DOZEN CHOCOLATE CREAM FILLED CUPCAKES..THEY WERE THE BEST CUPCAKES EVER.... MAYBE GOD BLESS THE FAMILY

So shocked didn't know she was even ill. I'm heartbroken. A great fellow music concert lover and conversationalist I'll miss debating her on everything. Fly high sweet lady. You'll be sorely missed. Much love to entire family.

OH Bob I am so sorry to see this. Always loved walking over from Tucker Dental to load up on all the deliciousness at the Bakery and talking to Kathy. She always made me laugh. She was so Feisty! Sincere Condolences to you your family and friends.

Kathy was always available for an interesting comment or quick visit whenever I came into the bakery. It was apparent she was surrounded by interesting conversations, fun and love.
Her family was fortunate to have had her for so long though it may not seem so. They all were/are blessed. ...a lovely family.
