ENOSBURG FALLS- Kathleen Lee Marshia, age 63, passed away after a courageous 11-year battle with cancer on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in St. Albans on April 19, 1959 to the late Carroll Sr. and Eleanor (Lakey) Billado.

Kathy grew up in Richford, attended Richford Elementary School, and graduated from Enosburg Falls High School in 1977. She married David Marshia on July 17, 1976 and had two children that became the center of her world. Once her children were in school Kathy drove school bus for Terry Wright for many years, and then later went on to work for immigration. Kathy looked forward to trips with her family to the ocean, dancing, gambling, playing cards, camping, and being out and about shopping or getting a bite to eat. She took pride in her clean home, enjoyed cooking and baking, and spending time with her friends, family, and grandchildren- she would do anything for them. She had an unmatched talent for making everyone feel special and welcomed. Kathy loved her family, cherished the small things, and lived life to the fullest!

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, David Marshia of Enosburg Falls; children, Aaron Marshia and his fiancé Stephanie Ouimette of Troy, and Amanda Blaney and her fiancé Jeremy Audette of Enosburg; grandchildren, Damian Marshia, Faith Marshia, Cyrus Blaney, and Carissa Blaney; siblings, Avris Billado and her significant other Alvin "Junior" Miles of Enosburgh, Barbara Beauregard and her husband Rene of Richford, and Danny Billado and his wife Lynn of Swanton; mother-in-law whom she shared a close bond with, Jessie Marshia; siblings-in-law, Veronica Draper and her husband Gary, Suzanne Carpenter and her husband Jim, and Tracy Ghostlaw and her husband Chris; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her four-legged companions, Amos, and Ayla. Besides her parents, Kathy was predeceased by her siblings, Timmy Billado, Richard "Dicky" Billado, Lisa Lafave, Jeannie Bryce, Carroll "Buzzy" Billado Jr., and Douglas Billado; father-in-law, Philip Marshia; and brother-in-law, Philip Marshia.
