Kathy Carol Nesmith, age 52, passed away on Sunday, March 30th 2025, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA. Kathy was born on February 2nd 1973 in Metter, GA to Cleveland Nesmith and Kathy Butler Nesmith. She was raised in Statesboro and attended Statesboro High School. Kathy was known for always putting others before herself. She enjoyed planning parties, cooking, go-kart racing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Kathy was preceded in death by her grandparents as well as her mother, Kathy Butler Nesmith.
She is survived by her fiancé, Dougie McCullough, her father, Cleveland Nesmith, her children, Joseph Keith Bragg, Olivia Whitney Bragg, Amy Faunce, Tyler McCullogh, Ryan McCullough, Alexis McCullough, Scott Kingery, Tony Fail, and Cody Sparks, her grandchildren, Zoey Bragg, MariahKingery, Channing Bragg, Natalie Fail, Ava Bragg, Liam Bragg, Camden Bragg, Leeland Sparks, Braxton Bragg, Luke Helton, and Clayton Helton, her brother, Jerry Nesmith, her sister, Makayla Ellis, and her nieces, Victoria McCullough and Sierra Gunn, and nephews, Jeffrey McCullough, Jonathan McCullough, and Marty Friese.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 5:00pm at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro. The family will receive friends following the service.
