Kellie McVeigh McQueen

Kellie McVeigh McQueen, 36, of Louisville, KY was called home to eternal rest Friday, November 3, 2023. She was generous; known as the best "gift giver" and always empathetic towards those in need, a wonderful listener and generous with her time. No birthday or special holiday went by from a family member or close friend without a meticulously selected gift from Kellie.
Kellie was extremely thoughtful in all that she did and fiercely loyal when it came to her friends and family. She could light up any room she entered. Always up for a joke she brought a smile to the people she interacted with on an everyday basis.
A proud alumnus of Sacred Heart Academy (2005) and Western Kentucky University (2009) Kellie worked as a specialist in Insurance Industry for State Farm-Traci Blair Haus Agency. She was an avid animal lover (most especially of her 3 cats Oscar, Romeo, and Lila).
Kellie loved all music from Cardi B to Taylor Swift to Garth Brooks and wasn't afraid to take over as DJ if it was necessary. She also had an eye for fashion which ranged from designer shoes to the latest makeup trends. She met the love of her life Kip McQueen and was married (11-15-2013) on the beach in true romantic fashion.
Kellie was born on December 21, 1986 in Louisville Kentucky to Kathleen "Kathy" Misheck McVeigh and the late William "Bill" Ward McVeigh, Jr.
In addition to her mother Kathy, Kellie is survived by her loving husband of 9 years, Kip Andrew McQueen; her sister Brooke (Mark) Mugavin; her mother-in-law and father-in-law Jill and LeRoy Grismer; her nieces and nephews Benjamin Mugavin, Charlotte Mugavin, Jack McQueen, Declan McQueen, Azalea McQueen, and Dashel McQueen; her brother-in-law Chris (Monique) McQueen; and her fur babies Oscar, Lila, and Romeo.
Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Ratterman Brother's Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Rd.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00am on Friday, November 10, 2023 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1000 N. Beckley Station.
