Kelly was born on May 7, 1967, in Leesburg, VA, the daughter of Diane Blake Boon of Tucson, AZ and the late Bruce Brownell. Kelly was one of the top medical herbalists in the country and loved teaching classes about herbs and going on weed walks. She was a loving mother who taught homeschool to her children and enjoyed the outdoors, planting and gardening. Kelly supported and promoted woman owned businesses and was such a lovable and selfless person who would help anyone in need.
Kelly married Plimon D. "Plim" Howard IV in 2004 in Winchester, VA.
Surviving with her husband are her children: Jake Howard of Winchester, VA; daughters: Jenna Howard of Winchester, VA; Emily Ensor of Richmond, VA; stepchildren: Plimon D. Howard V of Stephens City, VA; Maria Piett of Hermosa Beach, CA; a brother: Jason Brownell of Purcellville, VA; and a grandson: Beau Quinn.
Services will be privately held.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Kelly to Herb Club, C/O River House, PO Box 240, Capon Bridge, WV 26711 or United Plant Savers PO Box 147, Rutland, OH 45775.
