Kelvin Leroy Freeman was born November 17, 1959 to his parents, Annie Olivia Freeman and James Roy Freeman (married 1949). He was one of five children including his siblings, James (Darnell), Garry, Vincent and Laverne. The family resided in Orange, New Jersey and Kelvin was educated in the Orange public school system.
Kelvin was married to the late Brenda Freeman and he the father of five children. Kelvin loved to be connected to his children. He also served in the United States Military.
After the Military, Kelvin worked as a truck driver in the trucking industry. He did this until he decided to pursue his dream and start his own trucking business where he was able to help people in the community.
Kelvin's hobbies were fishing, dancing, painting and fixing everything.
Kelvin departed this life on February 8, 2024 at his home in East Orange, New Jersey.
Kelvin was preceded in death by: his parents, James and Annie Freeman; two daughters, Shakira M. Freeman and Haneefa N. Freeman; his wife, Brenda Freeman; and one son-n-law, Quentin Christian
Kelvin leaves to cherish his loving memories: three children, Alisha Freeman of Atlanta, GA, Fukuan Freeman of Newark, New Jersey, and Daneefa Christian of East Orange, NJ; three brothers, James D. Freeman (Belinda) of Raeford, NC, Garry M. Freeman (Sylatha) of Atlanta, GA, and Vincent E. Freeman (Michelle) of Wendell, NC; one sister, Laverne Valle (Joseph) of Bridgewater, NJ; twenty grandchildren and one beautiful great granddaughter.
