Kendal M. Demitroff

Kendal Michael Demitroff, a cherished brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025, at the age of 65, in Okemos, Michigan. Born on April 1, 1959, in Lansing, Michigan, to the late Mike and Betty (Grossman) Demitroff. He was a graduate of Grand Ledge High School class of 1977.
Kendal's early years in Lansing were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family. He shared an unbreakable bond with his brother Danrich Demitroff and his wife Lori, and his brother-in-law Darrell Clements. Kendal was a cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews, Zachary, Katelyn (Riley), and Haley.
For many years, Kendal was a familiar and friendly face at the local Meijer store, where he worked as a cashier. Outside of work, Kendal was a man of diverse interests and talents. He found solace and joy in the arts, often spending hours immersed in his ceramics, macramé, and drawing. Kendal was also contented with the pleasures of home. He enjoyed the solitude and comfort of his own space, where he could reflect, create, and simply be at peace.
He also had a passion for the spectacle and community of balloon festivals. He loved the vibrant colors and graceful dance of hot air balloons against the sky.
Kendal was preceded in death by his loving parents, Mike and Betty Demitroff, and stepsister, Susan Landon-Clements. His memory will be treasured and kept alive by his surviving family members and those whose lives he touched.
Cremation has taken place, and no services will be held at this time.
