I had the pleasure of having Mr. Boettcher as a "dorm parent" when I was at boarding school from 2006-2011.
"Mr. B" was more than just a dorm parent-he was a steady source of kindness, encouragement, and wisdom during some of the most formative years of my life. His genuine care for each of us went far beyond his responsibilities, and he made our dorm feel like a home away from home. I´ll always remember his warmth, his patience, and the way he made every student feel seen and valued. He touched so many lives, and I´m grateful mine was one of them.

Ken was my youth pastor through the mid-90s. I have thought of him frequently since not only because of the kindness he showed my brother and I but also because he, more than anyone else, fostered my lifelong love of music. He would allow us to borrow cassettes and also share his thoughts on albums and songs. I wouldn't be the person I am today without Ken's wonderful influence. I am thankful for his legacy and wish his family and friends comfort in these times.

I was blessed to have known Ken since high school in the 60's. Attended his wedding to Janet. Was with him when he enlisted in the Navy and have met his son John. Sixty years later we still talked 2-3 times a year. He introduced me to musician Harry Chapin.
"and somewhere on your path to glory
you will write the story of a life"
Ken, thanks for letting me be a small part of the story of your life. I will miss you but Janet welcomes you home!

I was blessed with having Ken as a roommate for a year. He was truly a wonderful man and great spirit.
His love for dogs was incredible...my pups adored him. I remember his love for food, our excursions out to museums, theme parks, and more.
I will miss him. Ken, you were and are loved.
