Kenneth Ray Cissna, 80, Bowie, TX Went to be with the Lord on August 10th, 2025, in Bowie, TX.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 23 at the First Assembly of God Church in Nocona with Pastor Weldon Wright officiating. The burial will follow at Perryman Cemetery in Forestburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 22 at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Ray was born on November 23, 1944, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Lawrence and Josephine Cissna. He graduated from Irving High School. On July 18, 1963, Ray married Wilma Newville in Irving, TX. Together the couple were married for almost 58 years. He held great honor as a public servant as an officer in law enforcement at Euless Police Department for 27 Years. Ray retired in 1999 where they made Montague, TX their home. Ray was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend and a longtime member of First Assembly of God in Nocona.

Ray was adventurous; he spent his time flying airplanes, building cars, riding motorcycles and loved a good fishing hole. There wasn't a stranger he hadn't met. He was a man of Honor and dedication and one of God's faithful servants. He founded Tall Tales where he would take a group of young boys and their dads on an overnight fishing adventure, where he would lead by example and share the gospel and hope to build good character with the young boys and build relationships with the fathers. Ray was a jack of all trades, and he could fix anything that was put before him. He lived a life of great adventure and had stories to tell.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wilma Cissna; parents; brother and great granddaughter.

Ray is survived by his daughter, April Cmet and husband Mario of Lago Vista; sister, Charlotte Stark and husband David of Lake Jackson; grandson, Bae Cmet and wife Danielle of Haslet; granddaughter, Brianna Osornio and husband Freddy of Cibolo; granddaughters, Amanda Pressler and husband Matt of Springtown; Amber Sparks and husband Chris of Decatur; Ariel Gutierrez and husband Joe of Rhome; great-grandchildren; Gianna Cmet, Kolbie Osornio, Elijah Osornio, Rowan Osornio, Zane Morton, Coy Whitt, Saxon Waldrop, Georgia Pressler, Patience English, Braelyn Meador, Callaway Sparks, Gavin Gutierrez, Gabe Gutierrez and Grayson Gutierrez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
