Kenneth "Ken" Reed Franklin, 75, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 at his home.
Ken was born in Evansville, Indiana on April 13, 1950 to the late Thomas and Kathleen (Forgusen) Franklin. He was a graduate from Harrison High School and honorably served in the United States Marine Corp Reserves. Ken started his work career as plant manager at Sheller-Globe and retired as vice president of manufacturing at UGN in Chicago, Illinois. He enjoyed golf, all genres of music and grilling for family and friends. Ken adored his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Kris (Kerchief) Franklin of Evansville, IN; daughter, Carrie Sharma (Drew) of Coppell, TX; son, Brandon Franklin (Rebecca) of Justin, TX; brother, Darrell Franklin (Barbara) of Hanson, KY; grandchildren, Joshua, Isabella and Jude Franklin, and Gemma and Asher Sharma.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; and by his brother, David Franklin.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711.
