LISBON – Kenneth L. Mackall, Jr., longtime Rogers resident, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 3, 2025, at his home while surrounded by his loving family. He was 85 years old.
Born in Salem, February 17, 1940, he was a son of the late Kenneth L. Mackall, Sr. and Vera Gorby Neil. A member of the East Palestine High School Class of 1958, he would go on to work as a truck driver and later owned and operated M & K Trucking. His faith was strong and for many years he worshipped at the Lake Mount Church of Christ. Previously, he was a member of the Rogers Christian Church where he served as an elder and Sunday school teacher. Community minded, he was proud of starting the youth baseball league in Rogers.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Gorby Mackall, at home. The couple married July 19, 1958. He also leaves behind his children: a daughter, Deanna Lyder and her husband, Brett, and two sons, Curt Mackall, and Randy Mackall and his wife, Brenda. There are 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Norm Mackall and his wife, Danielle, and a niece and a nephew.
Kenneth was preceded in death by a daughter, Terresa J. "Reesey" Mackall, a granddaughter, Jessica Mackall, and a daughter-in-law, Charlene Mackall.
Evangelist Tim Postle will conduct a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Lake Mount Church of Christ, 6290 State Route 7, New Waterford, Ohio, where friends may visit two hours prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Following the service, friends and family will gather in the church fellowship hall.
