Kenneth Oaks, 79, of Waynesburg, Kentucky passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Hospital in Danville. He was born in Waynesburg, Kentucky on February 8, 1944 to the late Charlie and Pearl Jane Simpson Oaks. On November 18, 1966, he was married to his wife of 57 years, Carol Ann McLemore Oaks. He was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. A former employee of both National Casket Company and Deco Art. He worked many years as a paint tinting specialist. Ken loved his family and friends and enjoyed all the family reunions. He also enjoyed the farm life. He gained great pleasure in going rabbit and coon hunting. He made sure he gave his grandson's some guns to enjoy to hunt with. He was a Honorable Kentucky Colonel. Ken made sure to joke and cut up and he's even been known to pull a good prank on someone whenever he had a chance.

Five Grandchildren:

Evan Benedict
Beau Henry Benedict
And many special nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth Rector, Edith Nave, Mary Nave, and Martha Ann Farmer, as well as seven brothers, Walter, Willie, Paul, Clyde, Matt, David, and Odis Oaks.
Funeral Date and Time: 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 26, 2023
Place of Funeral: McKnight Funeral Home Chapel
Ministers: Bro. Dan Gutenson
Place of Burial: Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM Funeral Time at McKnight Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include: Logan Benedict, Evan Benedict, Wyatt Stonecypher, Justin Benedict, Eric Stonecypher, Greg Oaks, Chase Brummett, Charlie Oaks, and Kyle Oaks
