Kenneth “Kenny” Edward Pollock, 73, of Little Rock, AR, departed this earth on February 25, 2023. He was born in Pueblo, Colorado on July 30, 1949. Kenny was predeceased by his parents Earl Cullen Pollock and Helen M. Pollock, his brother, Ernest Earl Pollock, his brother-in-law Billy V Wortham, and his nephew, Robert “Bobby” Wortham. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 25 years, Penelope “Penny” Pollock. He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Ruby Pollock Wortham, his brother, Philip (Mary) Pollock, his nieces Fawn Wortham Sachleben (Joseph) and Katherine Pollock, and many great-nieces/nephews and friends.
Kenny graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He was in the fraternity Tau Kappa Epsilon and was the owner/ writer/editor for the Grapevine newspaper. After completing his post-graduate degree at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, he departed Arkansas for California. He worked as a graphic designer for Landor and Associates on board the Klamath ferryboat in San Francisco Bay. Among his logo development projects were New Coke, Saturn Automobiles, multiple town logos, and more. Kenny returned to Arkansas in 1993 to be with family and friends. He produced a radio broadcast delivering health care information to rural Arkansas through the Ryan White Center.
Kenny had a love for all living things from the wild racoons he fed to his precious feline companions Gracie, Obie Bear, and Bella. Kenny was an accomplished artist and a lifelong stamp collector. Having spent a few years of his youth on a US military base in Germany, Kenny later travelled with his wife to Venice, Amsterdam, and Germany. Kenny was an avid letter writer with recipients looking forward to his eloquent prose and beautiful hand drawn cards. He will be missed for his deep intellect, thoughtful conversations, and lively domino games.
Flowers welcome or in lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Pulaski County.
The family will host a memorial service at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 4106 JFK Blvd., North Little Rock, AR on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 1:00pm.
