Born November 11, 1959, in Canton, OH, Mr. Shields was the son of the late Roger F. Shields and Esther V. (Bracken) Shields. He was also preceded in death by his sister: Sally.
Kenneth was a graduate of Canton South High School and retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He then worked and retired from the Maryland State DNR. Kenneth loved building model railroads and recreating historically accurate WWII figurines.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 40 years: Lisa Shields; his children: Roger Shields and wife, Heather, Amy Shields, Steven Shields, and Kevin Shields; his four grandchildren; his sisters: Sue Cash, Ethel Reed, Ann Edwards; and his brothers: Dan Jones and Ray Jones.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Thursday, May 4, 2023, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Interment will be in Maryland Veteran's Cemetery at Rocky Gap at a later date.
