Kenneth York, a beloved father, husband and grandpa passed away at the age of 69 on May 27, 2023 in Round Rock, TX, after a courageous battle with ongoing medical issues.
Kenneth was born on July 26, 1953 in Kingsville, TX to Clarence and Dorothy York, who soon moved to Corpus Christi to raise their family. Ken grew up with a passion of cars and motorcycles, and would often build small go-karts to glide down the street just before the coastal storms. Growing up, he loved the outdoors, such as, fishing, riding the beach waves, baseball and going wherever his bike would take him. Later, he found himself enlisted as a Marine, where he spent a few years in training and taking courses before meeting his wife Kellie through family friends. As a young couple, they decided to move from Houston to the Austin where Ken landed a job as a truck driver. His life and career soon became structured with always having a backup plan for occasions and making sure he gave his best to not only his children, but grandchildren too. He often would take his family to theme parks, carnivals, sports events, etc. and never asked for anything in return. When it came to family, he never questioned the help or how you got there, but he always made sure that we were taken care of the best way possible. So today, we're celebrating you Dad, and we plan to keep spreading your love and care towards family and friends. You will be missed but never forgotten. Fly high our beautiful angel and help guide us through our difficult times ahead. We love you with all of our heart and miss you so much already. Until we meet again Dad!
Kenneth is survived by his wife Kellie York; his children, Staci Morgan and Amanda York; Brothers Bill and Daniel York and nephew Clarence "C.W." York Jr.
Kenneth will be honored with full military service at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery in San Antonio, TX on June 23rd at 11:30am. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered directly to the immediate family.
