Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services - Jay on Nov. 8, 2024.
Kent Logan Hogshooter was born July 31, 1959 in Claremore, Oklahoma, to David and Geneva (Mouse) Hogshooter. He departed this life on November 5, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 65.
Kenny completed his education through 11th grade at various schools, being the rebel he was. Over the years he done many different jobs, but enjoyed most being a Cherokee Fire Dancer, an offshore back deck mechanic and he retired from Simmons Feed mill as a batcher, after 29 years.
He married the love of his life Juanita (Muggs) Sloan on June 20, 1992 in Ketchum, Oklahoma. Together they shared many happy memories and raised a beautiful family. Kenny had a strong work ethic and loved his family dearly, teaching them the essentials of life. He attended Ribbon Baptist Church in Spavinaw, Oklahoma, where he always felt welcomed and made new friends.
In his younger days he loved pitching horseshoes, playing pool and softball. Kenny enjoyed going riding with his biker family, cheering on his OU Sooners, listening to music in his shop, and working on old cars. He was always the life of the party making sure he flirted with all the women around. He was one that never met a stranger, picking on anyone that was around, making sure they felt welcomed. He was as ornery as they came. Kenny's greatest accomplishment was being a loving husband, father and a great friend to many.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parents David and Geneva Hogshooter, paternal grandparents, Watt Hogshooter and Annie Simon, maternal grandparents, John and Jane Cabbagehead Mouse, in-laws Junior and Frances Sloan, and special dog Zeke.
Kenny is survived by wife, Juanita of 32 years, daughter, Tiffany and boyfriend Dillion of Kansas, Oklahoma, son, Logan and wife Emily of Eucha, Oklahoma, bonus daughter Brooke Daugherty Okunevich of Chandler, Arizona, grandchildren, Rozlynn, Olivia, Waylon, Logan, Winry, and Damon, brother, Dewayne Hogshooter and wife Terri of Holdenville, Oklahoma, sister, Tina Francis and husband Chris of Picayune, Mississippi, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, his dogs Sadie and Willow, sister-n-law Bethena Robison and husband Danny of Spavinaw, Oklahoma, and brother-n-law Gary Sloan and wife Cheryl of Spavinaw, Oklahoma.
