Kentucky Jim Jeffries, age 59, of Jay, Oklahoma, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, April 24, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on February 23, 1966 in Gravette, Arkansas to Utah Doyle Jeffries and Lucretia Magdalene Pearce-Jeffries.
Kentucky started his working career hauling hay. Kentucky briefly attended college at Neo in Miami, OK. He was planning for a degree in Auto Mechanics. Later he completed cosmetology in Tahlequah, OK, he then took these skills and went to work for his brother at Arizona's Hair Styling in Grove, OK. In the early 90's he managed W-H farms in Afton, OK it was here he prided himself in the animals he raised and was never without his aussie "Striper". In the early 2000's he bought a dump truck and dozer and started "Jeffries Truck & Dozer" He continued in construction business for several years before becoming ill. His life was peppered with outdoor adventures on horseback, hunting his favorite game animals and fabricating all things including his famous racing mower. He left a great and lasting mark on all the lives he touched whether it was with his humor or lending hand. His nieces and nephews always played a vital role in his life and brought great happiness, but his greatest accomplishment was supporting Indy & Tucker & Dylan on their band journey. He will always be loved and never forgotten.
Kentucky was proceeded in death by his father Utah Jeffries and his mother Lou; brother Navada Jeffries and sister Pam Weeks.
He is survived by his lifelong caregiver and ex-wife Kathy Jeffries; son Indiana Jeffries; great nephew Tucker Sperry; daughter Ashley Jeffries; granddaughters Briana and Bionca; sister Loma Lindly and husband Jeff of Jay,OK; brother Arizona Jeffries of Fairland, OK; brother Montana Jeffries and Kim of Jay, OK; sister Connie Albright and husband Joe of Bradley, Florida; Sister Tammy Shrum and husband Jeff of Tahlequah, OK; and a host of very loved nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews of which each held a special place in his heart; extended family and friends.
Kentucky's Celebration of Life Family Visitation to greet friends will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 6:00-8:00pm at Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Chapel, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346.
Kentucky's Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, 1:00pm, April 30, 2025 at Mount Hermon Church, 42040 S. 670 Rd. Jay, OK 74346 with Pastor Mark Sherrell officiating. Followed by Kentucky's funeral procession to Duffield Cemetery, Jay, OK.
Kentucky's burial will be at Duffield Cemetery, Jay, OK.
Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346 with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
