Kevin M. Callahan

No one else can understand the way Im feeling now, though some time, family, friends, and memories will help me through somehow. Time will ease my sons loss, though my sorrow will remain, but the loss he left inside my heart will take away the pain.
My beloved son, Kevin Matthew Callahan, 58, was called home on Friday, September 22, 2023.
Born in Springfield, MA, Kevin was the youngest of 2 children of Marilyn (Pierce) Callahan-Caldwell and the late, Gerald Shad Callahan. He was stepson to the late George Caldwell, LtCol, USAF (Ret). He also leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved dog, Bubby, brother, Shawn Callahan, Capt, USN (Ret), wife Jodie & their children, Liam, Gareth, Aidan, and Dylan all of Springfield, VA. He will be deeply missed by many family members, friends, and co-workers.
Kevin graduated from Cathedral High School, and the Atlanta School of Interior Design.
He was a self-taught, highly motivated, and talented individual who could orchestrate anything and make it spectacular.
As a youngster, Kevin was a member of WWLP TV22s, Odyssey cast and the Stage West Theatre Co. where he appeared in, A Christmas Carole. He also performed in Blue Moon Theaters, South Pacific, and Temple Beth Els, Oliver.
Kevin played hockey and was a local gymnast having medaled in Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
He was later associated with the Kaye Davis Modeling Agency at the Atlanta Apparel Mart where he excelled in runway styling. He judged several state beauty contests. He also decorated the White House at Christmas and hosted a Super Bowl reception for players wives, family, and friends in Oakland, CA.
Kevins professional, fast-paced service was always in demand. His work history included many top brands including Gucci, Chanel, Saks 5th Avenue, Disney World, and Universal Studios to name a few.
Most recently he worked for Tiffany & Co. and Pandora where he excelled in the fields of visual merchandising and store design.
We never really lose those who are dear to us. Their familiar voices whisper to us when we are alone. Their image returns to us in dreams. And though, at first, we are saddened by their departure, in time our sorrow fades.
All are invited to Kevins 12 noon Liturgy of Christian Burial on Friday, November 17 at Sacred Heart Parish, 395 Chestnut Street in Springfield, followed by a Celebration of Life.
