Kevin Reffitt Obituary

Kevin Richard Reffitt, 62, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away on November 19, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Known affectionately as "Scruffy," Kevin lived a vibrant and spirited life.
Born in Ankara, Turkey, in 1962 to Emma (Hensley) and Richard Reffitt, Kevin's life was a testament to hard work bringing energy and determination to all he did. He graduated from Danville High School in Danville, Ohio, and pursued studies at The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster, Ohio.
A proud and committed member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 chapter, Kevin found purpose and pride in his profession, contributing to the field with unwavering skill and diligence.
Kevin was preceded in death by his fathers, Rick Reffitt and Ned A. Ramsower, and his beloved granddaughter, Drew M. Reffitt. He is survived by his mother, Emma; his brother, Ty Ramsower, and his children; Trisha Reffitt, grandchildren Brayden and Ava Reffitt; Brian Reffitt and grandchildren Payton, Kolby and Emery Reffitt; and Kolin Reffitt.
Kevin's life was marked by his resilience, passion, and love for his family. His legacy will endure in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A memorial service to celebrate his life and memory is being planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Kevin's memory to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
