Kirsten Joy Kramer, 57, departed for her heavenly home on May 27, 2025. Born in Milwaukee, WI on the rarest day in the calendar, February 29, 1968, Kirsten was a devoted and treasured daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. Her passing was unexpected and has left a heart-shaped hole in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Kirsten graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School and earned her BA from Concordia University, majoring in Elementary Education. She dedicated her entire career (25+ years) to expanding young minds at Our Redeemer Lutheran School in Delavan, Wisconsin, inspiring her charges to value learning and teaching them about the love of Jesus.
Kirsten retired from teaching in 2024, but she wasn't done serving others or her Lord. She became a home health aide for Visiting Angels just weeks after leaving teaching, earning the friendship of colleagues and clients alike.
Kirsten was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Kramer and grandmother, Clara (Brinkmann) Krzminsky. She is survived by her father, Lawrence Kramer; brother, Brad (Susan) Kramer; and beloved nephew, Alexander Kramer; as well as an aunt, uncle, cousins, extended family members, and many friends.
The family will announce a date in the near future for Kirsten's memorial service, to be held at Forest Hills Cemetery, Oak Creek, Wisconsin, where she will find her eternal rest beside her mother and among other cherished loved ones.
Kirsten was an avid reader and literacy advocate. In lieu of flowers the family asks those willing to make a donation to their local library in Kirsten's name.
