In the sweet, gentle town of Fountain Inn, South Carolina, our beloved Kristy Nichols was called home to the Lord on the 9th day of September 2023. Born on the 29th day of January, 1971, in the neighboring town of Greer, Kristy was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her.
Kristy was a woman of many talents, but her greatest joy was found in the loving arms of her family. She was the cherished wife of Jimmy Lee Nichols, the proud mother of Alexandra, Seth, and Ethan Nichols, and the adored mother-in-law of Demarcus Anderson. Kristy was also the beloved daughter of Bobby Hart and Anne Charles and the treasured stepdaughter of Deborah Hart. She was a loving sister to her late sister, Kellie Hart. Kristy was the doting grandmother to four granddaughters and one great-grandson, and she was a beloved aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Kristy was a graduate of James F. Byrnes High School, and she dedicated many years of her life to the noble profession of childcare. She was a stay-at-home wife and mother, and she took great pride in nurturing and caring for her family. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the sweet aroma of her delicious southern cooking.
Kristy had a zest for life that was truly infectious. She loved shopping and hanging out with her friends and family. She had a knack for finding the perfect gift for every occasion, and she always knew how to make everyone feel special and loved. She was funny, wise, and passionate, and she had a way of lighting up a room with her infectious laughter and radiant smile.
Kristy was a woman of deep faith, and she lived her life with grace and dignity. She was a pillar of strength for her family, and she was always there to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, or a comforting word. She was a woman of great wisdom, and she had a way of making everyone feel loved and valued.
In the words of the good book, "Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.'" (Proverbs 31:28-29). Kristy Nichols was a woman of excellence, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
As we gather to celebrate her life, let us remember Kristy not with tears of sorrow, but with smiles of joy. Let us remember her laughter, her wisdom, her passion, and her love. For Kristy Nichols was a woman of great faith, and she now rests in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior.
