Larrison Shields of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on April 16, 2024, at the age of 54. Larrison was born in Oklahoma City on March 1, 1970, to Yvonne Kay Larney and Jerry Shields. His father Jerry has preceded him in death.
He leaves his mother, Yvonne K. Larney, to cherish his memory. He is also survived by his brothers, Vinson Shields, Michael Shields, Tim Shields, Darren Shields, and Brent Shields; his sisters, Kelly Shields, and Tisha Robinson; cousin Mike Larney; niece Angelic Shields; great-nieces Eliza Sanchez, and Elizette Guerra, and great-nephew Gabriel Shields Jr.
A handyman by trade, Larrison was self-employed and enjoyed putting in a hard day's work. An incredibly skilled artist, he loved to draw in his free time, and expressed his creativity with various other arts and crafts. More than anything in life, he loved to spend quality time with the people he loved. As one of the "fun uncles" in the family, he especially adored hanging out with his great-nieces and nephews. A big kid at heart, the little ones in the family absolutely adored being around him and especially looked forward to their impromptu family wrestling matches.
As we reflect on a life lost far too soon, let us remember Larrison for his lively, boisterous personality, his keen artistic ability and passion for creating, and most of all, the genuine kindness and care he felt for the people he loved. He will be dearly missed by many, and his memory will live forever in our hearts.
