Larry Wayne Creagan was born April 22, 1948 in Newton, Iowa to parents Wayne and Barbara Creagan. He graduated from Newton High School in Newton, Iowa in 1966. In 1973, he joined the Air Force where he was a computer technician. In 1991, he had an honorable discharge due to a stroke which disabled him. He had served 18 and a half years and loved it. Upon recovery, he went to Newton for several months living with his brother Mike Creagan and Mike's wife, Denise. In 1992, he moved to Cleveland, TN to be closer to his parents Barbara and Wayne.
Many will remember him for several years to come as he loved to cruise the Bradley Square Mall and visit local entrepreneurs and all the shoppers. His guide dog, Ginger, helped him navigate. In 2005, he met Linda Ledford, and they were married in 2006 until present.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Creagan; brother, Bill Creagan; and daughter, Jennifer Waters.
Larry is survived by his wife, Linda; mother, Barbara Creagan; brother, Mike Creagan; two sons, Jeffrey and Jason Creagan; as well as daughter, Elizabeth Sanders.
He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Thelma (Frank) Farrington; and their two sons, Hunter Calfee, and Spencer Farrington; along with their daughter, Emily Hall; all from Indiana.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the local Veterans administration or a local hospice organization in Larry's name.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11:00 am at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland with Pastor Clint Ledford officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
