Larry Daniel Garcia, a vibrant soul cherished by many, passed away on September 1, 2025, in his hometown of
Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on November 3, 1967, to parents Jose Sosa Garcia and SanJuana "Galvan" Garcia. Larry's life was one marked by passion, love, and an unwavering zest for life that touched everyone he met. He was a man who carried with him the legacy of his beloved grandparents, Carolina and Jose Fuentes Garcia, as well as Santiaga Chavarria and Manuel Galvan, all of whom predeceased him.
Larry was known to be spirited, dynamic, vibrant and very colorful with his words by those close to him. Larry was a beacon of light in the last days of life with his family. His brothers, Joe Angelo Garcia and Samuel Solomon Garcia, along with his sister-in-law Nohemi Garcia, had no choice to follow and share a bond with him that was unbreakable. His nieces and nephews, Joe A. Garcia II (Kelsey), Christa Mawyer (Mandi), Robert I Garcia (Sarah), Marcy R. Garcia, Samuel N. Garcia, Jacob R. Garcia, and Isabella F. Garcia, as well as his great-nieces/nephew Adaline R. Garcia, Oliver T. Garcia and Violet E. Garcia will carry forward his memory with love and pride from the stories they will hear.
A proud graduate of Flour Bluff High School, Larry's pursuit of knowledge led him to Del Mar College, where he reeducated himself, demonstrating his belief in lifelong learning. His professional journey was as diverse as his interests, including stints at CVS and Sirius XM. His adventurous spirit took him to New York and St. Paul, Minnesota, but the call of his roots brought him back to Corpus Christi, where he remained until his passing.
Larry's Christian faith was a cornerstone of his existence, guiding him through the trials and triumphs of life. His love for music was undeniable, with tunes from ABBA, Blondie, and Elton John providing the soundtrack to his life's story. Those who knew Larry would describe him as interesting with a hint of criticism, passionate to be right even when he's wrong, and loving to all without letting them know-a man who lived life to the fullest, when he was able and encouraged others to do the same.
His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, yet his spirit will continue to inspire. Larry Daniel Garcia's life was a melody composed of joy, compassion, and an unrelenting enthusiasm for the beauty of existence. He loved his pets like they were his children. As we remember Larry, we celebrate a life lived, a heart loved, and a legacy that will resonate for generations to come.
