Larry Marshall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Auble Funeral Home - Orrville on Dec. 18, 2025.
Larry Marshall, age 82, of Orrville, died Monday, December 15, 2025, at Ohio's Hospice LifeCare in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Larry was born on April 6, 1943, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to the late Donald and Muriel (Lambert) Marshall and married Vicki D. Smith on May 4, 1982, at their residence in Orrville. Vicki survives.
He graduated from Orrville High School in 1961 and went on to work as a police officer for the City of Orrville for many years. Larry also volunteered much of his time with Auble Ambulance and EMS.
Larry attended Trinity United Methodist Church and was a proud member of the V.F.W. Post #3446, the American Legion Auxiliary Post #282, and the Orrville Railroad Heritage Club. He enjoyed a simple, relaxing retirement which usually entailed a good glass of bourbon and his favorite TV shows. Above all else he cherished time spent with his family and cats.
Surviving are his wife, Vicki; two daughters, Lynnette (Paul) Giffin and Angie (Doug Lipp) Marshall; son, Craig (Gina DeAngelo) Marshall; six grandchildren, Aarica (Nick) Dean, Brandon Cutshaw, Aaron (Holly) Cutshaw, Jacob (Lexi Corder) Giffin, Jesse Giffin, and Benjamin Giffin; and two great grandchildren, Wyatt Byrne and Ellie Corder.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents; and brother, Bob Marshall.
In accordance with Larry's wishes, cremation will take place.
A celebration of life will be held for Larry on January 17, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Orrville American Legion, Post #282, 237 East Market Street, Orrville, prior to an American Legion Steak Fry, which Larry always enjoyed.
Memorials may be made to V.F.W Post #3446, 430 W Market St, Orrville, OH 44667 or American Legion Auxiliary Post #282, 237 East Market Street, Orrville, OH 44667.
