Larry Edward McPherson August 19, 1951 – January 28, 2025
Larry Edward McPherson was born on August 19, 1951, in Bridgeport, West Virginia, to James and Anna McPherson. A dedicated and hardworking man, Larry spent much of his career in the automotive parts and repair industry, with many of those years at O'Reilly Auto Parts.
Larry found love and partnership with Donna Crane, and together they built a family, raising two wonderful daughters. He is lovingly remembered by his brother, Jim (Anna Lee) of Carlisle, PA; his daughters, Laura Holiman (McPherson Harrison) of Kansas City and Marissa Arnott (McPherson) of Nashville; and his six cherished grandchildren—grandsons Hunter and James and granddaughters Katlyn, Ray, Grace, and Abigail.
Beyond his career and family, Larry had a deep love for music and the outdoors. He found joy in fishing and was an avid fan of bluegrass, jazz, and big band music. A talented musician, he played both the guitar and banjo throughout his life. More than anything, Larry will be remembered for his quick wit and lasting sense of humor. He had a knack for bringing laughter into any room, offering a joke at just the right moment, and never missing an opportunity to make those around him smile.
On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, Larry peacefully passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was preceded in death by his parents and many beloved family members across the country. His warmth, humor, and passion for life will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A private, family memorial celebration of Larry's life will take place at a later date.
