Laurie June Owl age 67, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. She was born June 8, 1956 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to the late Fred Harjo and Ida Harjo.
She graduated from Sasakwa High School. She loved Elvis, spending time with her grandchildren, swimming, traveling, and going out to eat.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Mandy Harjo, and Martha Harjo.
Laurie is survived by her children, Jonathan Owl and wife Stevey of Sallisaw, OK, Kristina Owl of Mannsville, OK, Kendra Owl of Stilwell, OK; six grandchildren; three granimals; one great grandchild; siblings, Frankie Coley of Wewoka, OK, Shawna Groves of Wewoka, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Spring Baptist church in Sasakwa, OK with Pastor Kellos Walker officiating. Interment to follow at Palmer Cemetery in Sasakwa, OK.
Pallbearers: Cory Groves, Donnie Groves, Samuel Owl, Christopher Owl, Tyler Combs, George Ca-te Jesse.
Honorary Pallbearers: Zane Tarkington, Bladen Combs, Daylight Gonzalis, and nephews.
Arrangements by Stout-Phillips Funeral Home in Wewoka, Oklahoma.
