Mr. Lawrence Drake Sr. Port Jervis, NY
Mr. Lawrence "Larry" Drake Sr., 85, of Port Jervis, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Kings Harbor Multi Care Center in Bronx, NY. Born on February 11, 1940, in Franklin, NJ, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mildred Drake. Larry was a devoted father, grandfather, and a hardworking man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. For over 20 years, Larry worked as a foreman at Pine Island Turf, a job he loved dearly. Working on the sod farm brought him immense pride and happiness, he often said those were some of the best years of his life. He cherished bringing his children to the farm, letting them walk the fields and play on the tractor he'd bring home just for them. These memories are deeply treasured by his family. Larry also enjoyed relaxing with a good baseball game and spending time with his loved ones, who meant everything to him. To his family, he was their world-steadfast, loving, and always present. He is survived by his beloved children: Jessica Cuttler and her husband Jason, Lawrence Drake Jr., and Christine Hutchison; his stepson, Ronald Hujus and his fiancée Jennifer Iannello; his cherished grandchildren: Richard Welk, Jason Cuttler Jr., Samuel Cuttler, Desiree Cuttler, Lester Cuttler, Eva Toth, Sidney Toth, Victoria Thiele, and Tinamarie Toth. He was predeceased by his three brothers: William, Charles, and Sonny Drake. Larry's legacy lives on in the love and memories he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Cremation was held at the MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA. Funeral arrangements are by the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis. For additional information or to send a condolence note to the family please visit www.grayparkerfuneralhome.com.
