Lawrence Eisenman

Good Morning!
Dr. Larry Eisenman, 90, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Jean; his children, Lori (Scott) Blair, Karen (Steve) Skilken, and Michael (Susan) Eisenman; as well as eight grandchildren-Matthew Blair, Shaynah (Michael) Hess, Shoshana Blair, Billy (Hien) Eisenman, Zachary Eisenman, Jordan Skilken, and Blake Skilken-and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Sol and Pauline Eisenman and his grandson, Steven Blair, of blessed memory.
A proud graduate of South High School ('53) and The Ohio State University College of Dentistry ('62), Larry dedicated over 50 years to practicing pediatric dentistry, touching countless lives with his gentle care.
Known for his sense of humor and love for sports, Larry often called himself a "wannabe athlete" who enjoyed playing almost every sport, with a passion for watching the Buckeyes, Reds, and Bengals. After retiring from dentistry, he found a new outlet for his creativity- becoming a gifted artist, specializing in portraits of animals and people.
Larry served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps as a radio operator, where his voice and talent as a lead actor and announcer for OSU children's radio plays became an important part of his life. His charismatic radio presence helped him connect with patients, easing their anxieties with his calming demeanor.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn, Columbus. Shiva will follow graveside service at the home of Larry and Jean Eisenman. Shiva will be held Thursday, June 12, Sunday, June 15 and Monday, June 16 at the home of Scott and Lori Blair from 5:30-7:30pm.
