Lawrence Patrick "Pat" Fox, 84, of Walnut, died Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at his residence.
Pat was born February 2, 1940 in Walnut, a son of Lawrence Alphonse and Mary Juanita (Westhoff) Fox.
He grew up in Walnut and attended St. Patrick's High School, Neosho County Community College in Chanute, and he graduated from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg.
Pat served in the US Army from May of 1963 until receiving his honorable discharge in April of 1965.
Pat married Nancy Jane Walsh on November 24, 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nancy preceded him in death on March 14, 2010.
Pat was the owner and operator of Reclamation Associates in Walnut for 16 years and later he worked for Mission Construction in St. Paul.
He enjoyed his family and taking trips to Las Vegas. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his step-children Tom Lallemand of Pittsburg, Ron Lallemand, and his wife, Cindy, of Walnut, the late Donna Little and her husband, Randy Little, of Girard and Jane Kavanagh, and her husband, Bill, of Girard. His brother, John Fox, and his wife, Anita, of Girard. His sisters, Loretta Parkison of Frontenac, Barbara Vitt of Tulsa, Mary Lou Murray of Frontenac, Frances Eaton of Sabetha, Sharon Wineinger of Kansas City, Missouri, Linda Purdon, and her husband, Bill, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Charlene Backhus, and her husband, Ed, of Sarasota, Florida. His sister-in-law, Frances Fox of St. Paul.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents, his step-daughter, Donna Little, his brothers, James Frank Fox and Michael W. Fox, and his sister, LaDonna Goddard.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at St. Patrick's Hall in Walnut.
Private family burial will be at a later date in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Walnut.
