He was born on June 14, 1938, in Warren, Michigan, the son of late Harry and Linda Mikolowski.
A proud and devoted resident of Chesterfield and New Baltimore, MI for 75 years. He retired after 41 years as a firefighter with the Chesterfield/New Baltimore Fire Department and also retired from Ford Motor Company following 30 years of dedicated work.
LeRoy had a deep love for the outdoors. He found joy and peace in hunting and fishing-and he especially enjoyed playing euchre with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce of 30 years, and is survived by his children, Lisa (Leo) Super, LeAnn (Kevin) Young, Leila Weber, LeRoy Mikolowski, Leon (Josefa) Mikolowski, Leo Mikolowski (Shawna); 13 grandchildren, Nicholas (Ashley), Matthew (Jessica), Michael (Rachel), Amanda, Christopher, Jenessa (Rea), Jessica (Brent), Alishia (Madison), Joshua (Shalee), Rachel (Ryon), Melissa (Christopher), Selina (Lucas) and Miles; 17 great-grandchildren, siblings, Tim (Cheryl) Mikolowski, Arnold (Arlene) Mikolowski, Linda (David) Leslie and the late Gerald (Patricia )Mikolowski as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A private memorial gathering for immediate family will be held, in keeping with LeRoy's wishes. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Tried to call Leroy today and got his voicemail. Hadn't talked to him in a few years and something made me try and call. Not sure if it was because it was time to buy a bear license or divine intervention. I used to hunt bear with him in the UP, deer in the thumb, and fished the great lakes with him. Lots of good memories and stories. Will be missed, -Ed
