Linda N. Brouse

Linda N. Brouse, 73, of McAlisterville, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at her residence. Born on October 17, 1951, in Rucker, Dale County, AL, she is a daughter of the late Herbert R. and Cora Edith (Ehrenzeller) Nace. On December 19, 1971, she married her surviving husband, Walter Brouse, with whom she was blessed to share over 53 years of marriage before her passing. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Jason T. Brouse and his wife Jennifer of Duncannon and Jenessa B. Messimer and her companion Thomas Lawlor of Newport; five grandchildren, Paige Brouse, Callie Brouse, Elyse Messimer, Nolan Messimer, and Olivia Lawlor; one sister, Kathy L. Whitesel and her husband Jeff of Mifflintown; and one sister in law, Chrystal (Womer) Nace of Thompsontown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Nace on November 11, 2009. She was a 1969 graduate of East Juniata High School in Cocolamus and a 1972 graduate of Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Mrs. Brouse was employed and retired in 2007 as an Educator in the Juniata County School District for over 34 years, touching the lives of many students. Linda was a devoted member and attended Brown's Church in Cocolamus, where she served as a lifetime organist/pianist for weddings, funerals, and special events and helped with bible school, missions, meals, and the ladies auxiliary. Her greatest love was attending her grandchildren's activities where she was their biggest fan. She also enjoyed biking, going to the races to support her late brother, and traveling. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Brown's Church, 33762 Route 35 North, Cocolamus with Pastor William McNeal officiating. Interment will follow at Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown. A viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of the Funeral Services at 2:00 PM on Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Brouse's memory can be made to her church, Brown's Church, Attn: Building Fund, 33762 Route 35 North, Cocolamus, PA 17014.
