In Loving Memory
Linda "Sue" Elizardo March 11, 1949 – October 23, 2025
Linda Sue Elizardo (Sue) of Adrian, MI, passed away, at the age of 76, on October 23, 2025, surrounded by her family in her home. Sue was born in Elizabethton, TN, to Jimmie and Dorothy McKinney on March 11, 1949. She attended Madison High School and worked as a Hilo driver for General Motors for 37 years. She cherished every moment spent with her family, finding her greatest joy in the laughter and love shared around the dinner table and at weekend gatherings. Her hobbies were simple but meaningful: cheering on her children, spoiling her grandchildren, and being the first to show up when someone needed support. She considered her greatest accomplishment to be the family she built - her children and grandchildren were truly the pride of her life, and she was happiest when surrounded by them. When she wasn't spending time with her family, Sue loved being outdoors in her garden, blessed with a natural green thumb. She also enjoyed knitting and spending time with her close friend, Joe Belcher. Sue had a unique talent for bringing beauty into everything she did. Sue is survived by her mother, Dorothy Barrett of Adrian, MI; her brother, Terry McKinney; and her sister, Betty (Gilbert) Gonzalez. She also leaves behind her daughter, Terrie Belcher; her son, Arturo "Jay" Elizardo Jr. (Julie Elizardo); and her stepdaughter, Tina (Mark) Lozano. Sue will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, including Joshura Elizardo of Adrian; Jerry, Brian (Sarah), and Adam (Landa) Fick of Adrian; Chandler, Jaelyn, Brennan, Kaden, and Jayce Elizardo of Tecumseh; Jessica Elizardo of Adrian; Gordy Powell of Tallahassee; and Casandra Powell of Tallahassee. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews who adored her dearly. She is preceded in death by her father, Jimmie McKinney; her stepfather, Donald Barrett; her brother, Jimmie Dale McKinney; her sister, Glenda Lou "Dee" (Rod) Bradish; her daughter, Toni Elizardo; her stepdaughter, Cynthia Powell; and her late husband, Arturo "Art" Elizardo. Sue's absence will be felt deeply by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She had a remarkable ability to make every person feel seen, loved, and welcomed - whether through her warm smile, her gentle advice, or the way she showed up without hesitation when someone needed her. Her love for her family was unwavering, and the kindness she extended to others left a lasting impression on countless lives. Though her time here has come to a close, the memories she created will continue to bring comfort and strength to those she leaves behind. Her laughter, her compassion, and her generous heart will forever be cherished. Sue will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love will carry on through her children, grandchildren, and everyone whose life she touched. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Arrangements with Purse Funeral Home. www.PurseFuneralHome.com
