Linda (McCann) Loparco, 80, of Avon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025, with loving family by her side. Linda was born in Greenwich, Connecticut on February 26, 1945, daughter of the late Kenneth and Barbara (Carter) McCann.
Linda was born and raised in Riverside, CT, graduating from Greenwich High School in 1963. After graduation, Linda entered the workforce starting out as a dental hygienist. She continued working until her first child Michele was born and then focused on family taking pride in staying at home to raise and care for her children. Linda loved hosting, cooking and entertaining family and friends at pool parties in the summer.
Linda was an avid tennis player and golfer in Simsbury and Florida. As her children entered school age, and her time was available, Linda enjoyed working with the community. She volunteered at many community food outreach programs where she shopped and delivered groceries to elderly clients. She started a program, "Groceries on Wheels" in Simsbury. The town and community recognized her with the hometown hero award through Fitzgerald's Grocery Store. Linda was very devoted to family, friends, the community and St. Catherine's Church volunteer work.
Linda will be dearly missed by her family, she is survived by, a daughter, Michele and husband Anthony of Avon, CT; sons, Matthew Loparco and wife Dr. Rachel Balloch of Canton, CT, and Michael and wife Marcela Loparco of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Grace Merritt, Abigail (Victor) Imparato, Ella Loparco, Jack Loparco, and Isabella Loparco; niece, MaryJo Loparco and her family; nephews, Joseph Loparco and Vincent Loparco and their families; sister in-law, JoAnn Loparco and former husband and dear friend, Michael J. Loparco. Predeceased by both parents, Kenneth and Barbara McCann.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, 11:00AM, at the Church of Saint Ann, 289 Arch Road, Avon, CT 06001.
