Linda Kay Nelson, age 69 of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Duluth Chapel. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. There will also be celebration of life festivities, location TBA after she is laid to rest. All who loved her are welcome.
Linda was born in Indianapolis, IN and moved to the metro-Atlanta area at age 7 where she spent the duration of her days. She retired from the family business, New Baby Products. Linda was known as Mom, Grandma, sister, Girl Scout leader, second mom, boss lady, good cook, neighbor, industry veteran, the fun one, and to so many - dear friend. She worked hard. She played hard. She loved deeply. She lived her life to the very fullest. She exemplified unconditional love, forgiveness, charity, and kindness. Her positive impact will ripple through the ages and her legacy continued by her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her three daughters, Kelly Nelson of Chamblee, Krystal Eustice (spouse James) of Saint Augustine, FL, and Lindsay Nelson of Auburn; and her eight grandchildren, Kailey Nelson, Will Eustice, Cora Eustice, Amelia Eustice, Rayden England, Skyla Nelson, Marley England, and Walker England; sister, Pamela Holenstein (spouse Steve) of Lawrenceville, brother, Brian Howard of Gainesville, and stepbrother, Chris Nabors of Gainesville. She joins her mother, Edna Howard, her father, Estel Howard, her stepmother, Patricia Howard, and her baby brother, Stephen Ray Howard in eternal rest at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Connections Homes in Lawrenceville. Linda wanted to continue her legacy of charity and compassion by assisting foster children. Connections works to assist children aging out of foster care with the transition into adulthood.
Memories, stories, quotes, and photos may be sent to [email protected] for both the service and for the family. Please send anything you may wish to contribute at your earliest convenience.
The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory Duluth Chapel, 770-476-2535.
