Linda Orrell Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 25, 2023.
Linda Ann (McNeil) Orrell, 82, of Longmont, Colorado passed away on October 22, 2023.
She was born on May 28, 1941, to James and Eva McNeil in Highland Park, Illinois. Later they moved to Colorado where she graduated from Longmont High School in 1959. After she graduated, she met her husband, Jerry S. Orrell and they were married on April 6, 1962. After moving to Seattle while Jerry was in the Army, the couple moved back to Longmont and that is where they grew their family which includes two daughters, Dianna and Karla. Linda loved her family, friends, and God. She attended Longs Peak United Methodist Church, where she was part of the women's group. She enjoyed giving back to the community by volunteering at Longmont Meals on Wheels, her church and various other organizations. If Linda wasn't at church or volunteering, she could be found going out to lunch with friends or family, at home doing crafts and puzzles, or going on trips with her husband.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents and son, Jason. She is survived by her husband, Jerry; sister, Kathy Sherman (Roger); brother, Robert McNeil; daughters, Dianna Golata (Paul) and Karla Hale (Brad); grandchildren, Cody Hale (Michelle), Carly Lamb (Joe), Jordan Killmeyer (Todd), Jessie Kilbane (Aidan), Jayme Luette (Alex), and Joey Davis (Kyle); and three great-grandchildren, Hudson, Beckett, and James.
Memorial service is scheduled for 11am on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Longs Peak United Methodist Church, 1421 Elmhurst Dr, Longmont, CO 80503, with a reception to follow.
