Linda Mae Slack, 77, passed away on August 11, 2025 in Phoenix, AZ.
Linda was born on August 28, 1947 in Arnold, NE to Joe and Ruth (LaVallee) Anderson, one of five children, Sandy, Gregg, Roxanne, Mark and Billy.
She attended Brady Public School, graduating in 1967. Linda married Cliff Brock in 1967 in Gothenburg, NE and to this union four children were born, Travis, Detrick, Warren and Della.
Linda spent most of her life working alongside her father in his restaurant "Joe's Western Café" where she took over ownership after he retired. She loved cooking and baking, especially for others, playing cards, going to the casino, having coffee with friends and family.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ruth, her sister, Roxanne, brother, Gregg and nephew Tim Anderson and Burton Slack.
Linda is survived by her children, Travis (Mindy) Brock and their children, Chandler, Cameron and Connor of Cozad, NE, Detrick Brock and his children, Madison and Chase of Rosa Beach, FL; Warren Brock and his children, Ethan and Tristan, Della (Dave) Hengen and their children Natalie, Dax and Grace of Gothenburg, NE; brothers, Mark Anderson, of Brady, NE; Billy Anderson, of Gilbert, AZ; sister, Sandy Peters, of Sun City, AZ.
Register Book Signing will be Thursday, August 21, 2025, 1:00-7:00 PM at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, 620 10th St., Gothenburg, NE with the family present from 4:00-6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Gothenburg Back Pack Program or the Gothenburg Shares Program. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Linda Slack, please visit our Tree Store.
