Linda Arlene Thomas, age 80, of Orrville, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024, at Akron General Medical Center, following a brief period of declining health.
Linda was born on October 9, 1943, in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Albert and Edith (Starrett) Frick and graduated from Maysville High School in 1961. She married Richard E. Thomas on February 18, 1961, in St. Marys, West Virginia.
She created a loving home for her family. As the children grew older, Linda worked at various companies in retail.
Linda was an active member of East Union Lutheran Church. She was in the Women's Bible Study group, Adult Sunday School class, and the Social Committee at the church. Linda had a contagious laugh and a great sense of humor. She took pride in the work she did both in retail and in raising her family. Linda loved decorating for the holidays, and many came to her for advice on decorating their own homes. One of her personal attributes was her willingness to serve and give to others. This could be seen in how much joy it brought her to shop for family and friends; and, then wrap the gifts she bought for them. Linda cherished spending time with her family and friends. She was a kind, sweet woman who impacted many lives. Linda will be greatly missed by all.
In addition to her husband, Richard: surviving are son, Brent R. (Debra) Thomas and his daughter, Carson (Rhen) Weaver; son Bradley G. (Teri) Thomas, their children Bradley (Alyssa) Thomas, Bradley and Alyssa's children; Baker and Ava Thomas, Jordan (Brooke) Thomas, Jordan and Brooke's child Sutton Thomas, Alexis (Bob) Mason, Alexis and Bob's child, Emersyn Mason; Richard E. (Cher) Thomas II, and their children; Madeline (Nate) Starcher, Emma (Drew) Kindy, and Lillia Thomas; Scot M. (Danica) Thomas, their children; Dakota, Mackenzie, Courtland, and Asher Thomas and step children; Blake, Alicea, and Olivia; a sister, Joyce Sue Appleman.
She was preceded in death by both parents; sister, Nancy Mars; and brothers-in-law, Gary Appleman and Jack Mars.
Friends may call on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at East Union Lutheran Church, 7063 East Lincoln Way, Wooster from 10:00 am to 11:45am.
Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the church, with Pastor Rob Moskowitz officiating. A private family burial of cremated remains will take place on a later date at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Linda A. Thomas East Union Lutheran Church Endowment Fund for Children, Youth and Adult programs, 7063 East Lincoln Way, Wooster, OH 44691.

Sorry for your loss. Enjoyed cooking her food when she would come to Leroy's. I will miss her smile
