Mr. Linwood Demetrius Davis, affectionately known as “Linwood,” was born on March 1st, 1968. He gently departed this world on Monday, March 10th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, music, and devotion.
Linwood was a cherished son of Haywood and Linda Kirven Davis. He took great pride in his journey through life, beginning with his graduation from West Florence High School in 1986. Linwood furthered his education at Florence-Darlington Technical College and Denmark Technical College, where he became a certified electrician. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish LLL, an L3 Brothers trucking company, which brought him immense pride and satisfaction.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Linwood was known for his extraordinary musical talents, particularly on the bass guitar. He shared his love for music by serving numerous churches throughout South Carolina and beyond, becoming a beloved figure in the musical community. His commitment to his craft and his ability to play soulful melodies left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of hearing him perform.
Linwood is survived by his wife of 10 years, Genny Lou Davis, as well as his devoted parents, Haywood and Linda Davis. He will be remembered fondly by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched through his music and kindness.
As we celebrate Linwood’s life, let us carry forward his spirit of love and creativity, cherishing the memories and melodies that will forever echo in our hearts.
