Lisa Iler Cannon, age 64, died Saturday, May 21, 2022 at home under the care of Kindred Hospice Care. She was one of six children, born in Statesboro, to the late Harper John Iler Jr. and Maggie Jean Davis Iler. Lisa graduated from Southeast Bulloch High School in 1975 where she enjoyed being a cheerleader. She started working for Claxton Poultry in November of 1984 as an office manager, retiring after 37 years.
When Lisa was not playing with her grandbabies she enjoyed being outside, gardening, raking and burning leaves or grilling. Traveling and visiting different beaches along the way gave her a chance to add to her lighthouse collection. When the weather kept her indoors she would read romance novels and watch westerns or NCIS.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life James Thorpe Easterling, a brother Harper John Iler III, and sisters Tonya I. Hodges, Jenny I Pagan and Rhonda Denise Iler Deloach.
Surviving are her children Leslie Cannon, Lyndsey Cannon, Luke Cannon, Cayla E. Hernandez (Juan), Caytlyn Cartee, her brother Joey Iler (Karen), 20 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and her German Sheppard dog Charlie. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

I love you mama and we miss you every day it still does not feel real. I wonder if there will ever be a day that I do not cry....I know I have to be strong for you and I know you are in a better place and watching over us, but I sure wish you were here mama. I love you always
