Lisa Layman Mulroy, born January 17, 1984, passed away on August 17, 2025, at the age of 41. She was the beloved daughter of Mark and Joyce Mulroy. Lisa's strength, courage, and resilience throughout her life touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Lisa is survived by her mother, Joyce Mulroy, her cherished dog, Sassy, and a loving family that includes her aunts and uncles, Linda Hatfield, Tim Mulroy, Michelle Mulroy, Ward Mulroy, Tom Mulroy, Christopher (Mary Ellen) Mulroy, Sean Mulroy, Brian (Susy) Mulroy, as well as her special cousins, Sue (Tony) Skiles, Sherri Messmore, Amy Parker, Samantha (Jay) Lee, Wendi (Randy) Stern, Quinn Mulroy, Ty (Ellen) Mulroy, Adrian Mulroy, Joe Moser, Pete (Josefa) Mulroy, Alex (Hannah) Mulroy, Egan (Hiroko) Mulroy, Shannon Mulroy, and Genevieve (Rob) Adkins.

Her friends were also an important part of her life, special friends: Jamie Ellingwood, Lynsey Ellingwood, Sandy Ellingwood, Pam Burger, Moran Lowe, and Jason Hertzenberg.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Mark Mulroy, as well as aunts and uncles, Larry (Nancy) Layman, Paul Mulroy, Leslie Mulroy, and Bill Hatfield. She was also preceded by her dear cousin, Trish Parker, and her special friends, Dave Burger and Bill Ellingwood.

A proud graduate of Lakota East High School, Lisa was part of the class of 2002. In 2007 she graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in World Economics. Throughout her life, she had a deep love for The Ohio State Buckeyes, Tweety Bird, and puzzles, which brought her endless joy. She also had a passion for studying meteorology and always looked forward to organizing her annual Euchre party. One of her most beloved traditions was setting up her Christmas train each year, a symbol of her warm and loving spirit. Lisa was also President of Relay For Life at The Ohio State University and President of the OSU Meteorologist Society.

Lisa faced many challenges, including five battles with cancer, which she bravely defeated each time. She also fought through numerous strokes and seizures, showing remarkable strength and determination. Her resilience in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Lisa will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever remember her courage, strength, and the kindness she showed to everyone she encountered.

A visitation will be held Friday, August 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:30 PM at Baker Stevens Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave., Middletown, OH 45005. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to make memorial contributions to the Sarcoma Foundation of America in her honor.

Rest in peace, Lisa. Your fight has ended, but your love and strength will remain with us forever.
