Lisa Resmondo Liverman

October 23, 1962 – August 21, 2025

Born in Hialeah, Florida, on October 23, 1962, as Frank and Jeanette's second child. Lisa graduated Okeechobee High School in 1981 and eventually made Leesburg her forever home. To know Lisa was to feel her fierce love and unshakable spirit. Her life was a song of strength, resilience, and laughter, and she will be remembered as a friend to many, a true warrior at heart, and a woman whose light could never be dimmed.

Throughout her life, Lisa took on many roles-working as a pharmacy technician, in a cardiologist's office, as a medical transcriptionist from home, and countless other jobs in between. Her work life was as varied as her interests, but no matter the role, she showed up with grit, humor, and determination. For her, work was never just about a paycheck; it was about providing for her family, staying connected, and carrying her unstoppable spirit forward.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Jeanette Resmondo; grandparents, Jesse and Onile Brinson (Nanny and Poppy) and Ruben and Aretha Resmondo (Peepaw and Memaw); her eldest sister, Donna Patrice Thibedeau; her youngest brother, Jesse Daniel Resmondo "Little Jesse"; and her daughter, Jessica Leigh Akins.

She is survived by her brothers, Frank D. Resmondo Jr. and wife Jennifer, Jesse D. Resmondo; uncle and aunt, Ed and Diane Davis; lifelong friend, Lisa Lillard, along with a loving circle of many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lisa's heart was larger than life. Her door was always open, ready to lift up anyone in need, and there was always room in her heart for one more. Known throughout Leesburg and beyond for her generosity and her spark, she had a way of bringing the fun with her wherever she went. Whether she was singing her heart out, gathered with friends and family around a bonfire, or quietly sipping coffee on her porch, she made every moment brighter.

She was a NASCAR fanatic, a loyal Seminole football fan, and a devoted dog mom to many beloved pets over the years. Her faithful companion, Ginger, was by her side for 18 years and will be laid to rest with her. Lisa loved the beach, loved cooking for a crowd, and loved nothing more than letting her hair down and having a good time. She was fiery and stubborn, tender and sensitive, and above all unapologetically herself. Those who loved her will remember her not only for her laughter and her light, but for the way she made everyone feel like family.

Lisa's story can't be summed up in a few paragraphs-she was too full of life for that-but if you were lucky enough to know her, you'll carry a piece of her with you forever.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. until celebration of life at 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Buxton Okeechobee Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
